Donations
Every donation large or small will help provide a child with the physiotherapy they need to progress. Every gift, sponsored activity, event or corporate donation can make a difference to the lives of the children and young people we support.
- £90 will help a child and their family towards making that crucial first step, one session of much needed therapy.
- £675 will allow a child to enjoy a full week’s programme
- £2025 will allow a child to experience the complete three week course and the promise of much improved mobility, confidence and future.
- £8100 will enable a child to complete the year, helping them towards a better and more independent life.
Every hour of therapy will make a difference
Through donations, one can help children like Rediate Beyene who has benefited from intensive physiotherapy at the Footsteps Centre. Rediate Beyene was born prematurely at 25 weeks after a rupture occurred in the membrane at 23 weeks. Doctors told her parents that there was a 90% chance that Rediate would not survive. Rediate spent the first three months of her life between intensive care and special care. A scan around her first birthday confirmed she had spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. The family discovered the Footsteps centre and applied for a grant from Footsteps Foundation. Before starting Footsteps Rediate could not sit up unaided without falling and could not move around at all but after one session Rediate can sit up completely unaided and play with her toys using her hands and is moving around freely by rolling and rotating her body.

To date, we are grateful to have received donations from individuals, private companies, charitable trusts, community groups and parents themselves. However, as new patients come to the Footsteps Centre, and current patients require ongoing care, we continue to need funds.
All donations are carefully and cost effectively utilised, to ensure the greatest impact for children and families wanting to join us at the Footsteps Centre.
