The current Board of Trustees maintains responsibility for governance and administrative issues, as well as leading the way to new fundraising opportunities to maintain the vital work and growth of Footsteps Foundation. The Board of Trustees is also responsible for signing off our annual accounts.
Christian is the CEO of an Oxford University molecular diagnostic spin out company Oxford Biodynamics limited. He is also chairman Of Chronos Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical development company and Sibelius limited.Christian’s daughter was the first attendee at Footsteps and he is chairman of Footsteps Foundation.
Pip Hoyer Millar founded Footsteps and Footsteps Foundation. Her background is in design and successfully ran her own interior design business in London before moving to Oxfordshire with her growing family.
Sarah is a litigation solicitor at IBB in Uxbridge. She has been involved with Footsteps Foundation since 2006 and has been a Trustee since 2010.
Tim Halfhead is a cost and procurement management expert, working with organisations of all shapes and sizes across the UK to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. His previous career includes senior management roles in magazine publishing, commercial radio, cable and satellite television, telecommunications and online retailing. He lives near Henley on Thames, is married with two grown up children and his hobbies include hiking, skiing, sailing and cooking.
Whilst Julian Tranter may be the new kid on the block, having only joined Footsteps Foundation as a Trustee in June 2013, he brings a wealth of experience with him. Julian has held 11 directorships across sectors that include energy, manufacturing, resource management and logistics, with his latest venture running his own consultancy business. Julian’s daughter Emilia is one of the children receiving therapy at Footsteps. Emilia is three years old and has really benefitted from the treatment, care and love she has received from the staff at the Centre. Julian became a Trustee as a result of his passion and enthusiasm for helping those children that need all of our support.
Dr Caro Godlee has been a GP at Summertown Health Centre in Oxford for 26 years. She is now the senior partner. She graduated from Trinity College Cambridge and qualified as a doctor in 1981. She has three adult children and is married to an academic. She has a special interest in women’s medicine and paediatrics.
Tina Jacobs Tina is a marketing and fundraising professional with over 25 years’ experience gained in consumer, professional services and not-for-profit organisations. She has worked for American Express, Video Arts, Henley Business School and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and taken on many interim assignments. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing fundraising and marketing communications strategies. Tina has been involved with Footsteps Foundation since 2015.
