Footsteps Physiotherapists
All physiotherapy at the Footsteps Centre is undertaken by highly qualified and experienced physiotherapists and therapy assistants, qualified for both NDT-Bobath and PNF physiotherapy. The therapists have many years of experience working with children and young adults with special needs, both in the UK as well as abroad.
The centre currently employs three full time HPC registered physiotherapists and three full time assistant therapists.
Patients enjoy a holistic approach to their therapy, where therapists provide support and guidance both during the course as well as after completion. Patients learn how to use newly acquired and movement skills effectively, enabling greater independence in everyday activities. After their course, patients are provided with detailed home-programme of exercises and care, to continue therapy and hence help maintain progress. Throughout therapy, additional advice is shared as to correct childcare and posture, including carrying, sitting, walking, washing and feeding.
